After leaving Merrill Lynch, travelled to more than 100 countries around the world for nearly 10 years. In 2012, set up Japan Megasolar Inc. to achieve grid parity with photovoltaic power generation. Looking to the development of renewable energy business, changed the company name to GPSS Holdings Inc. in April 2017. Also conducts educational activities for dissemination of renewable energy information through various media.

    Received degree in Physics from Tokyo University of Science, Advanced Management Programme of INSEAD(Fontainebleau) and Renewables of Green Power Academy(London), and was employed as a rates derivative trader for Merrill Lynch and as a fund manager at Merrill Lynch’s Hedge Fund, based in both Tokyo and New York, holding the position of head of rates trading for 20 years. Also worked as an advisor of Mr. Eitaro Itoyama (senior Senator with 29 years in office and Forbes ranker) and as a board member of Mr. Itoyama’s organization for more than 5 years. After retiring from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, joined and formed the GPSS group in order to raise the rate of energy self-efficiency in Japan, as well as similar island nation states, by utilizing a combination of renewable energy (photovoltaic, geothermal, hydro, wind as well as biogas power) and serves as head of business in the group.

He joined Seven-Eleven Japan, Inc. and worked as a instructor for franchise owners and moved to the Store Development Division where he executed more than 100 franchise agreements and land/building contracts for store openings. In 2013, he joined Mirai Co. a venture company of fully artificial light-type plant factory as Executive Officer of Operation Division. He was also involved in the restructuring of the company through civil rehabilitation in 2016. In October 2018, he joined GPSS Holdings, Inc.

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University and holds a Masters of Space Studies from the International Space University in France.He was engaged in budgeting, organization, parliamentary affairs, and space science planning at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).In addition, he was promoting the Japan-Europe Cooperative Mercury Exploration Project as Acting Director of the Paris Representative Office.At Cosmotec Co.,Ltd.,he constructed a geothermal power plant in Beppu as General Manager of the New Energy Business Division.After that,he joined the predecessor company of GPSS in 2015, and is devoted to geothermal development.His favorite activities include surfing, canoeing as fishing, walking with his dog, and making sushi.

Tetsuya Niimi

In 1986, Niimi graduated from the University of Tokyo, the Faculty of Law, and joined the Mitsubishi Bank, Ltd. (currently Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Ltd.). After the secondment to Embassy of Japan in the USA (in Washington, D.C.), he experienced various corporate planning/business planning/HR planning functions in Regional Headquarters for the Americas (in New York), Corporate Planning Division, and Investment Banking Planning Division. From 2008 he served as Head of Strategic Alliance Office of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, from 2013 served as Head of Corporate Planning Division of MUFG Securities Holdings, from 2016 served as Deputy CEO of MUFG Securities Americas Inc. (in New York), and from 2018 served as Executive Officer of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group in charge of Corporate Planning Division. 
In 2021, he joined GPSS Holdings, Inc. as the current position.

Graduated from Tokyo University with Bachelor of Economics and did Master’s degree in Science (Finance) at London Business School. Originally joined the Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ) in 1989 and moved to IBJ International (London) in 1993 engaging in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Securitization business. Returned to Japan in 2000 and started careers in M&A advisory at IBJ and Mizuho Securities. In 2005, Hironobu joined the Morgan Stanley, and until 2016 and 2018, he had been among the market’s most experienced M&A bankers with extensive track record in both domestic and cross-border transactions focusing on industrial, technology and telecom sectors as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Sangyo Sosei Advisory (M&A Boutique), respectively. Most recently responsible for private equity investment as a Managing Director at Japan Industrial Partners Inc.. Joined GPSS in January 2022.

Daisuke Mishima

After Environmental Engineering Ph.D.,Daisuke began to be engaged in research and development of composting, methane fermentation, etc.at a public research institute in 2005. From 2007, he worked in management support for university-launched venture companies at a quasi-public institution.At the same time, he was also a specially appointed assistant professor at Osaka University.
In 2010, he joined Rimatech Corporation, a waste recycling company, where he was engaged in business planning and R&D focusing on subcritical water-methane fermentation.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, he was engaged in disaster waste management planning and treatment in Iwate Prefecture.Through the subsequent activities for reconstruction, he reaffirmed the significance of building a recycling system for local production and consumption and the potential of biogas power generation in this system.
Therefore, in 2014, the methane fermentation division was spun off as an independent company to establish Rinajen Corporation, which is responsible for biogas power generation EPC.
In 2017, he founded Arsec, Inc.to create biogas power generation projects and provide consulting services for resource recycling. He joined GPSS Group in April 2021.

Yuichi Sato

Graduated from Hatakeyama Gakuen Toryo High School in 1990. Until 1996, while he worked, he acquired a beautician license. In 1997, he returned to Iwate Prefecture, which is known as the prefecture that has an abundant nature. There, he immersed himself in skiing, which he learned in his childhood. 
Yuichi is a Ski Association Japan (SAJ) instructor and B class examiner, who has traveled not only across Japan, but through the southern hemisphere, and around Europe.
In 2016, he met Mr. Mezaki and Mr. Kurata, (Co-CEO of GPSS Group) and their passion for the future of Japan and agriculture x energy resonated with him. With GPSS, he established Mirai Chiiki Co. Ltd. in 2017, where he has remained up to present.

Yoshihiro Maruyama

Yoshihiro Maruyama graduated from Tokyo University of Science in 1996 (major in physics) and received a Master’s degree in Earth and Planetary Physics from the University of Tokyo in 1998. He joined Fujitsu Limited in 1998 and engaged in the development and operation of ground systems for earth observation satellites.
In 2005, he joined CRC Solutions Corp. (currently ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Co., Ltd.) to oversee the development of various simulators using VR technology, sales support, and analysis work for production logistics and process simulation software.
From 2009, he was in charge of the consulting services related to the spread of renewable energy centered on wind power and solar power (promotion of services commissioned by national government agencies and independent administrative agencies, such as research, R & D, and demonstration projects for the development of renewable energy, consulting for renewable energy power generation companies, system development, etc.).
Since October 2019,  Maruyama has been the CEO of Geoscience Enterprise Inc. (GSE) of the GPSS Group.

Bright RU

Upon graduating from the Business Management Department at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan, commenced work at the container shipping service company, Maersk Line (Denmark).
After a successful stint at Maersk, joined NOL (Singapore) as sales manager in Taiwan and later took up the role as vice president for a Sino-French joint-venture, also in Taiwan, focusing on the sale of indoor and outdoor polycarbonate cellular sheet construction material. Later, served as senior director at an LCD/LCM manufacturing factory for a Sino-Japanese joint-venture in China, and then relocated to the U.S. as sales director.
Also served as general manager for a Taiwan-backed UPVC/CPVC manufacturing factory in China and later as sales director at Nano Architecture Research Corporation, the sales agency company which held an exclusive licensing agreement with Alcatel Group (France), promoting vacuum plasma applications in Taiwan for use in the semiconductor field.
After 10 years as sales director in the fields of PV solar cell, module manufacturing and power system operations, joined Japan Mega Solar in Tokyo in 2016, and in July 2019, helped establish GPSS Taiwan in Taipei, and currently serves as managing director.

Joined to agriculture start-up in 2013 and engaged in overseas plant sales of artificial light indoor farm, At the opportunity of Russia Khabarovsk project, joined predecessor company of GPSS HD in 2016. Engaged in domestic geothermal business development through collaboration with local communities in Miyagi and Niigata area. Newly responsible overseas renewable energy business development from Dec.2023.

1990: Graduated from National Institute of Technology, Tokyo College, Department of Civil Engineering.1990: Joined a general construction company in Kanagawa Prefecture. Engaged in construction management of public and private civil engineering works. He was also involved in the construction of Shiokaze (Odaiba) Park that was a part of the cancelled World City Exposition in Tokyo. 2000: Left the company after obtaining a national qualification. 2004: Founded a civil engineering construction company in Yokohama City. He is involved in public works and large-scale construction of housing lots. He owned many jumbo trucks and dump trucks, a dream of his since he was a child. 2013: Joined the predecessor company of GPSS Holdings at its inception. He now engages in construction management and construction work and investing in personnel development.

Joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, LTD in 1997 and started his career in the industrial power plant such as waste to energy steam power plant, biomass power plant, combined heat and power plant, gas turbine based power plant for both domestic and oversea customers. Since 2010, he had been focusing on combined cycle gas turbine power plant for oversea utility customer. From 2017 to 2021, he had been in United Kingdom and Germany as an Expat to explore capable consortium partners and engage the agreement with them, manage the bid preparation and contract negotiation. Joined GPSS in January 2022.

Upon obtaining an MBA from the European Business School (INSEAD) in 1981, joined the Investment Summary, Examination Division of Mitsubishi Corporation. Member of the planning staff on European Mitsubishi Corporation invested in Europe and Africa Strategy since 1986. Established MCF Financial Services (London) in 1990 and assumed the position of advisory president of business of acquisitions between Japan and Europe, Merchant · banking investment in Europe, LBO finance etc. Non-dye business In 1994, he returned to Mitsubishi Corporation headquarters and founded an investment company in Asia, promoted private equity investment, promoted advisory work in China and Asia, moved to Ripple wood Holdings (New York) since 1996. Served as financial advisor for many major Japanese corporations and financial institutions. Retired as Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch Japan in 2005. Has been engaged in the management of industrial corporations including Ebara Foods, Olympus, Pacific Metal, Cyberdyne and 3DOM as outside board director, as well as at other corporations.  Also served as president at Recof, a boutique M&A advisory firm, from 2008 through 2010. Lectured on M&A for Executive MBA at Aoyama Gakuin University from 2010-2013.

Mami Yoda

Mami Yoda started her career as a securities analyst at Credit Suisse Tokyo Branch, where she was responsible for equity and industry research since she joined in 1986. She also received a corporate scholarship from Credit Suisse for her study at the master’s program at MIT Sloan School of Management. In 1997, she joined Standard & Poor’s International LLC as a credit rating analyst, where she was responsible for rating major Japanese, Korean, and Chinese corporations and local governments. Since she was promoted to a Management Director in 2005, she became responsible for managing analytical teams in charge of securitization and corporate/ government ratings. In 2009, Mami left Standard & Poor’s to pursue her interest in regional revitalization and entered the doctoral program at Hokkaido University’s Graduate School of International Media, Communication, and Tourism Studies. After working on projects related to community revitalization and organizational development and serving as a committee member and board member of non-profit organizations, she joined the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Sagami Women’s University in 2017, where she participated in the launch of the Graduate School of Social Entrepreneurship.

Yasuhiko Matsumoto

In 1975, Yasuhiko Matsumoto joined Sanwa Bank, Ltd. He worked in the banking department for 30 years, after which he was involved in mergers, later becoming the Iidabashi Branch Manager. In 2002, he also served as the Executive Officer of UFJ Bank, Ltd., and First General Secretary. In 2004, he became the Managing Executive Officer.

In 2006, he joined Takashimaya Co., Ltd. He operated in a wide range of areas including Planning, Management, Sales, CSR, IT, Reform Promotion, and Overseas Development. In 2009, he became the Managing Director followed by the position of Senior Managing Director (representative director) in 2010. Finally, in 2014, he became the President of Toshin Development Co., Ltd, and retired from this role in 2018. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics, Keio University (1975).

Shuhei Miyamoto

Shuhei Miyamoto joined Nippon Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. in 1979. He was engaged in engineering related to oil and natural gas development. After working in Saudi Arabia, he supported the local operation of offshore oil field development in Bohai Sea in China. After that, he provided advisory services to the Ministry of Petroleum and state-owned oil companies, where he consulted with Export-Import Bank of Japan, JICA, Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC), and other trading companies. In 1998, he was transferred to Teikoku Oil Co., Ltd. as Director and General Manager of the Office, where he was in charge of overall business planning domestic planning of natural gas business and was also responsible for the development of trunk pipeline networks and LNG introduction plans.
In 2006, he oversaw the business’ integration with INPEX CORPORATION. He has been in charge of INPEX CORPORATION since 2011 as Managing Executive Officer and Deputy General Manager of Corporate Planning Division, also as the General Manager of America & Africa Business Division from 2012.
In 2018, he became the Managing director of Sakhalin Oil & Gas Development Co., Ltd.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo (1979) and obtained an MBA from the Yale University School of Management in 1993.

Yasuhito Omori joined the Ministry of Finance in 1981. After working on budgeting and tax affairs, he has been involved in financial administration for 20 years since 1995, in reforming and executing financial systems related to banks and securities markets. He drafted the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and revised the Money Lending Business Act. After serving concurrently at the Reconstruction Agency after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he retired from the Financial Services Agency in 2015 after being the Secretary General of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission. After his retirement, he worked as a corporate advisor, external director, among other roles while engaging in writing, lectures, and other speech activities that have continued since the days of being an administrative officer (Advisor of Dai-ichi Life Institute Research Inc., Director of AirTrip Corp., Special advisor of OKWAVE, Inc., Auditor of BITOCEAN, INC., etc.). While traveling abroad, he contemplates Japanese finance, the Japanese economy, and the Japanese way of life. Born in 1958, he is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tokyo (1981).

In 2014, he remains in the same position as Director. Thereafter in 2017, he became the Managing Director, Global Risk Management Head, Risk Management Group Head, and Research and Consulting Unit Head.
In 2019, he was the Managing Executive Officer, Head of Global Risk Management, Head of Risk Management Group, Head of Research and Consulting Unit.
In 2020, he established the Global Risk and Governance LLC and became a representative.
He has mainly been engaged in financial risk management practices for the past 25 years. Currently, he supports the development of risk management systems at financial institutions. He is also a Co-representative at the Tokyo Risk Managers’ Roundtable.

Yoshitaka Nishino

Since joining Hitachi, Ltd. in 1985, Dr. Yoshitaka Nishino has extensive experience in research and development of energy-related products. In 2014, he was appointed as the director of Hitachi Research Laboratory, and the following year he also served as the general manager of Center for Technology Innovation, and directed the research and development of a wide range of products in the infrastructure field. After serving as the director of the Technology Strategy Office, he became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Energy Sector. Meanwhile, from 1992 to 1993, he was a visiting researcher at the Argonne National Laboratory of the US Department of Energy. From 2020, he is a professor and deputy director of the International Industry-University Collaboration Headquarters, University of Tsukuba.
He completed the master degree at Hokkaido University, had the Doctor of Engineering (The University of Tokyo) in 1992, and completed the Executive Course (SEP) at Graduate School of Business, Stanford University in 2013.
