STAFF INTERVIEWS
Before joining GPSS, I had worked at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. I conducted research on gas turbine blade cooling system design. I have also worked with a combined cycle power plant in Rural Power Company Ltd (RPCL), Bangladesh.
I have been working in the energy sector for a decade.
I was interested to work in the renewable energy field at the time and GPSS welcomes foreign employees, so I joined GPSS for the purpose of developing renewable energy plants and a sustainable society.
I am involved in the EPC management of geothermal and waste heat recovery power plants. I am in charge of the installation and commissioning work of the geothermal power plant in Oita prefecture and the waste heat recovery power plant in Fukushima prefecture. I am also working as a technical lead of our new data center cooling system.
When we were working on some geothermal projects, I proposed some modifications to the piping layout and it was accepted by my team. Eventually, the gross output of the plant increased. The management's trust and support in my ideas ignite my soul.
There is a famous dialogue in the movie Forrest Gump, "My mama always said, life was like a box of chocolate. You never know what you’re gonna get.” In the same way, I want to say you obviously can not predict your future. So, enjoy every moment of your life, every work you do, and do what you love to do.
GPSS is a good company to make your first move in your career. You will get a lot of opportunities to think about ways to achieve a sustainable society and an efficient energy world.
